Strange Bones
For these images I constructed imaginary bones from polymer clay and photographed them with found objects to create hybrid entities that reference organic forms. The artificial and the real combine to create semi-abstract compositions that encourage contemplation. I am interested in the contrast between the softness and hardness within animal and plant bodies, bones and petals and teeth and flesh.
