Strange Ecology

In my practice I am creating a strange world inspired by the organisms of Earth but often interpreted through an abstract lens. I use the forms and functions of cells, body parts, microscopic creatures, and scientific concepts as reference material to create an otherworldly ecology based on my emotional interpretations and abstractions. This alien universe composed of hybrid creatures and compositions represents the paradox of feeling disconnected from nature, or an idealized version of it, while also deeply understanding that this is not possible. We are enmeshed within one ecology, and the feeling of disconnection is a delusion.
